Diving with Abyss Charters
INTEGRITY, a 38ft Bullet (now Interceptor), is located at Plymouth Yacht Haven Marina, in Mount Batten, Plymstock, Devon. She was acquired by Skipper, Faz, in April 2023 upon retiring our old vessel ABYSS.
INTEGRITY has worked all around the UK, serving successfully as a dive boat and a survey vessel.
INTEGRITY is fully fitted out for diving, including a diving lift, toilet, heated cabin and 230V power.
On Board
She is fully coded to MCA Cat 3, which means she can operate up to 20 miles from safe haven, day or night, carrying a maximum number of 10 passengers and 2 crew. She carries a full complement of safety gear: 14 man life raft, lifejackets, life rings with buoyant lights, flares and first aid equipment, including an O2 kit
EQUIPMENT
She is equipped with echo sounder, GPS chart plotter, radar, 2 VHF radios and auto pilot. Below decks is a massive Caterpillar 340hp engine allowing a maximum speed of 15 knots and cruising speed of 10 knots.
FACILITIES
Facilities on board include a sea toilet, 230 volt power, hot water for beverages and a microwave oven. The large deck and generous sturdy benches allow ample space for kitting up and carriage of extra kit, whilst dry storage for bags is available in the forward accommodation space.
Meet the Skipper
Ivor (or Faz) has owned and operated commercial dive boats since 2011.
He has been a diver since 1998 and is a qualified BS-AC advanced diver, Open Water Instructor, and IANTD Mixed Gas diver.
He has 20+ years of experience operating a variety of vessels, from dive RHIBs to 38metre beach landing rafts, and holds a commercially endorsed RYA Advanced Powerboat qualification.
